I am a French speaker (mother tongue) born in Congo, Africa and studied in France. I had a dream as a little girl to live in Los Angeles, USA, be a manager and speak several languages. Today I live in London, United Kingdom not quite like L.A, but I am very happy. I succeeded in being a manager, and I am bilingual French/English and can also speak a bit of Italian and Spanish. I can say that I am in a good place so far. I have been a manager in two different countries for the same company and it always amazes me how the same company placed in 2 different countries can have completely different laws, employees, ways of managing and so on. I have learnt and am still learning different skills and basics that help me on a daily basis, which I believe could be beneficial to you also. 1st tip: Be positive: The fundamental of being positive is: Positive attracts positive. It results from a choice. This choice needs to come from your mind and from your heart. Make the decision that no matter what is thrown at you during the day you choose to see the positive outcome of it. If it means you having to pause and analyze a situation until you have found this one positive thing, then do so. Why? One good reason is it will enable you minimize any lose and complaints. You are a problem solver, you have brought the solution to your organization and things are still running properly. You having the feel good attitude, causes a ripple effect on your employees. The positive atmosphere you created will then create a pleasant atmosphere for your employees and for your organization. Well done Manager, you are on the right track.
Thanks for reading and please look out for more tips on a weekly basis.
